Alpha Seed Inc. is based on 9 Ave SE in Calgary. We build the marketing, AI and software that local service businesses need to get found and get the call, then we run it and report on it every week. Two people, the software we wrote, and one AI assistant on the phones.
The person behind it
You'll deal with David from the first call on.
I’m David Tran, and I started Alpha Seed in Calgary.
My background is in marketing management, and I also write software. The same small team has built a billing assistant for Alberta physicians, planning software for oil and gas well closures, and the AI call centre that became the core of this agency.
Alpha Seed grew out of running that call centre, and the marketing around it, for a Calgary home-buying business. Most of what went wrong there happened between the search and the answered call, and most of it was fixable with plain weekly work: a Google profile kept current, reviews asked for properly, every call picked up, every lead followed up the same day.
That’s the work we do now, for one trade per part of the city. When you email Alpha Seed, I’m the one who answers, in English or Vietnamese.

Why it matters that we're here
Local search is local down to the neighbourhood.
A plumber in Saddle Ridge and a plumber in Evergreen show up in different map results. Google ranks local businesses from where the searcher is standing, so the work is done quadrant by quadrant and town by town, not for “Calgary” as a whole. Our free scan measures it from a grid of points across your area for exactly that reason.
Demand here follows the weather. Furnace calls arrive with the first cold snap, roofing calls with the hail, and plenty of both come in after hours. Alberta also has rules your marketing has to respect: prepaid contracting licences for contractors who take deposits in the customer’s home, City of Calgary permits that homeowners ask about, and the Real Estate Council of Alberta’s advertising rules for realtors.

What we believe about this work
- Report in money, not rankings. Calls answered, appointments booked, leads by source. If we can’t show the number, we don’t claim it.
- Fewer things, done every week. A managed Google profile, a phone that gets answered, and a weekly rhythm beat a long list of services done once.
- Honest about AI. It answers calls and does the repetitive work. It introduces itself as an AI. It never cold-calls, and it never pretends to be a person.
- Your accounts, your name. Google profile, ads, numbers, website: everything is set up in your name from day one.
- Say the small sample is small. When a result comes from one client, we say so, and we publish a client’s numbers only with their written permission.
