Every call answered, including the ones at 2 am

Roughly half of calls to home-service companies never reach a person, and a missed emergency call goes straight to the next company on the map. Our assistant answers, asks the questions your dispatcher would ask, books the job, and hands it to your team with everything written down.

What's included

  • A tracked business number (or call forwarding from your existing line) so every call is logged, recorded with a notice, and reported.

  • An assistant trained on your services, service area, pricing rules and emergency criteria, from a single fact sheet you approve.

  • Qualifying questions per job type: location, problem, urgency, access, preferred time.

  • Booking straight into your calendar or job software, with a confirmation text to the caller and a summary to you.

  • Emergency routing: real emergencies go to your on-call person; everything else is booked for the morning.

  • Missed-call text-back and callback for web leads, only for people who agreed to it on your form (Growth).

How it works

  1. Fact sheet.

One document with what you do, where, when, what you charge for after-hours visits, and what counts as an emergency. You approve it; the assistant follows it.

  2. Test calls.

We call it from every angle (angry, vague, wrong trade, non-English) and tune it until it behaves like your best dispatcher.

  3. Go live gradually.

After hours first, then overflow when your line is busy, then 24/7 if you want it. Your team can always take over, and every call is recorded so you can check.

The problem, with numbers

In Invoca’s 2026 benchmark of more than 70 million calls, only 52 percent of calls to home-service companies were answered by a person. The rest hit voicemail, rang out, or got a busy signal. In a trade where the caller has a furnace out or water on the floor, they don’t leave a message. They call the next company.

That is also why we start with after-hours answering in the $500 plan: it’s the cheapest, fastest thing that turns searches you already get into booked jobs.

What it is not

It’s not a replacement for your dispatcher during the day unless you want it to be. It’s not a sales robot. It’s not a chatbot on your website that nobody uses. It is a phone line that gets picked up.

Plans that include this

Starter includes after-hours and overflow answering on a tracked number. Growth includes 24/7 answering, booking into your calendar or software, and lead follow-up with consent.

Questions we get asked

Does the caller know it's an AI?

Yes. It introduces itself as an AI assistant for your company at the start of every call and tells the caller the call is recorded. If someone wants a person, it says when a person will call back, or transfers for emergencies.

Will it make sales calls for us?

No. The assistant answers calls you receive, and calls or texts people who ticked a box asking for it. Canada’s telemarketing rules require express consent, tied to the specific number, before anyone uses an automated or synthetic voice to make sales calls, and the regulator is reviewing how those rules apply to AI voices. We don’t cold-call, with or without AI.

What if it can't handle a call?

It says so and takes a message or transfers, depending on your rules. You get the recording and transcript either way. In our experience the hardest calls are the vague ones, which is why the fact sheet and test calls matter more than the technology.

Does it work with Jobber, ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro?

Yes. Bookings and job details go into your software, not into a separate inbox you’ll forget to check. If you use something else, we’ll tell you whether it connects before you sign.

What languages?

English by default. We can set it up to handle French, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Spanish or others if your customers call in them; tell us during the scan.

Isn't this just software I could buy for $50 a month?

You can buy the software. What you’re paying us for is the setup (the fact sheet, routing rules, calendar and software connections), the test calls, the weekly check of what it said and did, and the report that puts calls next to bookings and sources. If you’d rather run the software yourself, we’ll say so.
